PTO Questions

The Malcolm White PTO is organized for the purpose of supporting and enhancing the educational experience of the Malcolm White Elementary School’s students by: (1) providing an organization which the parents, school, and teachers can work cooperatively; and (2) provide financial support for programs funded outside of the annual school budget.  The organization is led by an executive board that consists of the principal, a teacher representative and the following roles: President, Vice President – Fundraising, Treasurer, Secretary, and Enrichment Officer.

A few things to note about our PTO:

  • It operates as a charity
  • No member, officer or school employee is paid for their service
  • It is not affiliated with any political party or candidate
  • All are welcome to participate

Any adult that is a caregiver of a Malcolm White student is welcome to join the PTO.

Meetings are held monthly from September-June, either in person at the Malcolm White or remotely via video conferencing.  Please check out our meetings page for more information including the schedule for the coming school year.

The school doors open at 8:15 am and close at the start of school at 8:25am. If you are late, the student will need to enter through the front doors and will be marked tardy. School ends at 2:50 pm.  These times include Kindergarten since it is full day in Woburn.

Yes, lunch is provided for free to all students. A monthly menu can be found on the Woburn Public School website

Kindergarteners will be assigned to a class after they have had the opportunity to meet with all three teachers and interact in small groups with many if not all of the other students. This process allows staff to thoughtfully place students after meeting and working with them.

Once you have received an activation code from the school (when your child either enters the school through Kindergarten or from another district), you can access  your child(ren)’s report card by going to PowerSchool.  If you need help accessing the site, please contact help@woburnps.com.

Look on the Woburn Public School website for the bus routes. Each bus stop is listed and you can figure out which stop works best for your student.

Families driving/walking to school should arrive by 9:00AM, park in the lower lot, or on Bow St and walk their child to the playground. Kindergarten staff will be there to welcome students. Please remain with your child until you receive a colored card indicating your child’s half-day classroom placement.
